Established in 2005, Plug In TV began as a group of video documentary journalists wanting to provide an alternative to the mainstream media. As Plug-In TV grew and began broadcasting content on community television and the web, the network extended to incorporate people from diverse backgrounds and skill groups including video journalism, graphic design, web development, community groups, radio and other people interested in media-making.

Everyone at Plug-In TV has different skills and experiences but we share the same goals: to raise awareness about important social issues and their causes, and to exchange ideas. Plug In TV promotes the learning of skills, responsibilities and methods to empower each other to communicate what needs to be communicated for a better world.
